The long-staying penduline tit at Stodmarsh was certainly worth a visit so I made my way down there today. It was certainly present for a lot of the time but it kept to the back of the reedbed and was often obscured by the reeds in front. It looks like a bandit with its mask. Pretty bird.

On the other hand, a very colourful blue tit came fairly close and performed on the reedmace.
